Began our first semester of the advanced engineering course. First project is a simple drone with testing platform constructed by students using OnShape and cut using our two industrial laser cutters. The controls begin with analog potentiometer and progress to micro-controlled buttons/joysticks.
Students also study CFD/FEA. They build a wood airplane and modify it to test for aerodynamic integrity. These wood planes will be subjected to the DIY wood tunnel the advanced engineering class build (will build).
